yeah man i got lots of love for the new 86. i think it looks great. really like the mods and style of the 86 in the pic pic. really hoping Toyota will put the 3cyl turbo they have in the gr yaris and corolla into it and ill put down a deposit the next day 🙂
I love the look but dislike the engine. I’d be happier if the 86 had the corolla engine options: ultra efficient/reliable 4cyl and high output turbo 3cyl. I know the packaging wouldn’t work compared to a boxer engine, but that’s the main thing that keeps me from getting one.
I love the looks, I just need more room if I’m gonna daily it, and it’s not quite to my liking enough to be a toy. I’d rather have an S2K or Mustang if I’m going that route.
Had one for a 10 day rental. Balanced, smooth… but still under-powered!! The 350z has 100hp more! Turbos don’t take a lot of space and that subi boxer motor does well with some boost… It’s like they’re keeping Scion alive for no reason.
It’s a good looking car but I prefer the shape of the older one. I don’t even know the numbers but it at least looked lighter and more like a 90s car.
My cousin owned one for a time and I only heard nothing but problems with his specific example. Tuners seem to like them though.

Personally no. Gen1 had curved and sexy styling ahead of its time. New one is an egg with Honda Accord rear….

I love the 86 and BRZ. I had a Gen 2 BRZ and loved the heck out of it, but health issues caused me to sell it. Only drove it for 1200 miles.

I much prefer the 2012 one, and I thought this design sucked at first, but the more I look at it the more I like it.
