Problem with dashboard air vents.
My car’s dashboard vents are not blowing air(the vents that are for the windscreen) and this has been quite a problem during winter when it gets fogged up.
No matter where I redirect the air,it won’t blow from that windscreen vent.(It blows hot/cold air from the other vents though).
I have a Toyota Avensis from 1998(fyi it is a European model afaik similar to a Camry ) and I was wondering what would be the fault. I am hoping that the dashboard wouldn’t need to come off to be fixed so here I am hoping there is a slight chance.
What do you think?
It’s most likely a bad mode select servo motor on the left side of the heater box. You can likely see it up near the gas pedal under the dash. If it’s the same as a Camry it should be fairly simple to replace.
